After studying Ceramics at Derby, I taught before joining the world of commerce. Marriage and a family followed as did my return to teaching.
Following various life dramas I decided to fulfill my dream and start my own business involving the production of functional high-fired white stoneware.
I produce traditional domestic ware concentrating on form and glaze effects, these are all wheel thrown. My philosophy is "Just because it is functional doesn't mean it can't be beautiful!"
Having relocated to the stunning South Downs in a historic village near Winchester, Owslebury. I have created a purpose built studio space in the garden of my property, a thatched, timber framed farmhouse. The studio and surroundings are peaceful and wonderfully conducive for creating or joining one of my specialist courses.
Have been a member of Hampshire Open Studio for three years and show regularly at various fairs in the South of England.
Also a member of Craft Potters Association and Southern Ceramics Group.
Surrounded by numerous footpaths and the famous city of Winchester just under 5 miles away with rail links to London and else where, this is a perfect base to gain inspiration.
It would be lovely to hear from you concerning my work, information about a course or a special present for someone
